Warranty

OffGrid Lux is an authorized dealer. All Epoch Batteries products purchased through OffGrid Lux are covered by the manufacturer’s limited warranty provided by Epoch Batteries (EDG Sales International LLC), shown below. Warranty coverage, eligibility, registration requirements, exclusions, and claim handling are determined by the manufacturer. To ensure full coverage, customers must register the battery within 90 days of purchase using the manufacturer’s product registration page: https://www.epochbatteries.com/pages/product-registration. Proof of ownership is required for any warranty claim, and the warranty is non-transferable, applying only to the original purchaser.

Manufacturer’s Limited Warranty

Battery Registration (Required for Full Coverage)
To ensure full warranty coverage, your battery must be registered within 90 days of purchase. If registration is not completed within this timeframe, the warranty period will begin from the battery’s original manufacturing date.

Proof of Ownership & Transferability
Proof of ownership is required to validate any warranty claim. This warranty is non‑transferable and applies only to the original purchaser.

SHIPPING & INSPECTION RESPONSIBILITY (APPLIES TO ALL PRODUCTS AND CLAIMS)

• Customer Must Ship to Epoch for Inspection. All warranty evaluations require return of the product to Epoch Batteries for inspection and testing. The customer is responsible for arranging and paying for shipment to Epoch as well as all shipping, handling, packaging, insurance, and any duties/taxes/fees associated with the shipment.
• Return Shipment Back to Customer. After inspection, repair, or replacement, Epoch is responsible for all shipping and handling charges to return the item(s) to you.
• No Prepaid Labels; No COD. Epoch Batteries does not provide prepaid labels and does not accept freight collect/COD shipments. Shipments without a valid RMA may be refused.
• Packaging & Compliance. Customers must package products safely and in full compliance with applicable regulations. For batteries, use a UN‑approved lithium battery shipping box and comply with all hazardous materials requirements. Epoch Batteries is not responsible for damage incurred in transit due to improper packaging; insurance is strongly recommended.

Epoch Batteries (LiFePO₄) Warranty Coverage – 11‑Year Limited Warranty

EDG Sales International LLC (the manufacturer, hereinafter referred to as “Epoch Batteries”) provides an 11‑year limited warranty for each Epoch Batteries‑branded Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO₄) battery (“the Battery”) sold directly or through authorized distributors and dealers.

Epoch Batteries warrants that the Battery will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of eleven (11) years from the original date of purchase, as verified by the buyer’s sales receipt (“the Warranty Period”).

Important: All remedies under this Limited Warranty relate to parts and labor only. Shipping and handling are not included and are always the customer’s responsibility.

Warranty Exclusions – Epoch Batteries

This Limited Warranty does not apply to any battery that has been subjected to improper use, handling, or conditions outside of specified guidelines. Specifically, the warranty will be void under the following circumstances:

• Damage resulting from the battery being unsecured or improperly secured

• Improper installation, usage, maintenance, or servicing

• Loose or improperly connected battery terminals

• Connecting in series or parallel beyond the manufacturer recommendations for that battery model

• Reverse polarity connections

• Storage under inappropriate conditions, including:

Exposure to extreme temperatures (above 140°F or below ‑40°F)

Fire or water submersion

Prolonged storage in a fully discharged state

• Short circuits caused by accidental, intentional, or inadvertent connection of positive and negative terminals

• Damage due to physical impact, collision, or dropping

• Use with incompatible third‑party products that result in battery failure

• Excessive electrical resistance due to corroded terminals, poor crimps, or undersized cables

• Battery failure caused by faults in the external electrical system

• Any battery that has been opened, modified, altered, or tampered with in any way

• Use of the battery in applications for which it was not designed, including:

Repeated engine starting (for models not designed for cranking)

Drawing current in excess of the battery’s rated discharge capacity

• Batteries left uncharged for over three months (periodic charging is required to maintain cell health and proper storage while not in use)

These exclusions ensure proper handling and use of Epoch Batteries to maintain performance, safety, and longevity.

Warranty Coverage by Model

If a valid warranty claim is submitted and the battery is determined to be non‑repairable, the following replacement terms will apply based on the model and warranty period. In all cases, shipping and handling charges are the customer’s responsibility.

Epoch ECO SERIES Models

• Years 1–3: The defective battery will be repaired or replaced with a comparable product at no cost.

• Years 4–5: A comparable product will be offered at 40% off the retail MSRP at the time of the offer.

• Year 6: A comparable product will be offered at 25% off the retail MSRP at the time of the offer.

Epoch ESSENTIAL Models

• Years 1–3: The defective battery will be repaired or replaced with a comparable product at no charge for parts and labor.

• Years 4–5: A comparable product will be offered at 40% off the retail MSRP at the time of the offer.

• Years 6–11: A comparable product will be offered at 25% off the retail MSRP at the time of the offer.

48V GC2 Golf Cart Models

• Years 1–3: The defective battery will be repaired or replaced with a comparable product at no charge for parts and labor.

• Years 4–5: A comparable product will be offered at 40% off the retail MSRP at the time of the offer.

• Years 6–11: A comparable product will be offered at 25% off the retail MSRP at the time of the offer.

All Other Models

• Years 1–5: The defective battery will be repaired or replaced with a comparable product at no charge for parts and labor.

• Years 6–11: A comparable product will be offered at 25% off the retail MSRP at the time of the offer.

All replacement offers are based on the most comparable product available at the time of the claim and are subject to current pricing and availability. Shipping/handling are not included in any remedy.

Epoch Batteries Warranty Repair/Replacement Process

Step 1: Initiate Your Warranty Request

Begin by logging into our Repair Portal and completing the form with the required information, including the battery serial number, a brief description of the issue, and any relevant photos.

• If your request is approved for evaluation, you will receive an RMA number and packing/shipping instructions.
• The customer must arrange and pay for shipping the product to Epoch Batteries for inspection. We do not provide prepaid shipping labels.

If the issue is determined to be outside of a manufacturing defect—such as over‑discharge, improper storage, misuse, or other damage—the customer is responsible for all associated costs (e.g., parts and labor) in addition to all shipping and handling fees.

Step 2: Prepare and Ship the Battery

If the original packaging is no longer available, it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure the battery is securely and safely packaged for return shipment. Packaging must comply with all applicable shipping regulations for hazardous materials, including the use of a UN‑approved lithium battery shipping box.

Epoch Batteries is not responsible for any damage incurred during transit due to improper packaging. We strongly recommend retaining the original packaging or consulting with a qualified shipping provider to ensure your return is packaged safely and in full compliance with shipping standards.

Ship the product to Epoch using your chosen carrier and at your expense, following the RMA instructions provided.

Step 3: Inspection & Repair

Upon receipt, our technicians will conduct a thorough evaluation and perform any necessary repairs in accordance with the terms of this warranty. You will be kept informed throughout the process. Typical repair turnaround times range from 3 to 10 business days, depending on the nature of the issue.

If the repair is determined to fall outside the scope of a manufacturing defect—such as damage caused by misuse, improper storage, or over‑discharge—the customer will be notified. In such cases, the customer will be responsible for all costs associated with the repair (parts and labor) and all shipping/handling fees. An itemized invoice will be provided prior to any work being completed.

Step 4: Return Shipment to Customer

Once repairs or replacements are completed, return shipping and handling to the customer will be handled by Epoch. We will provide tracking information upon dispatch.

Epoch Chargers – 2‑Year Limited Warranty

Epoch Batteries warrants that all chargers sold under the Epoch brand, whether directly or through authorized distributors and dealers, are free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of two (2) years from the original date of purchase, as verified by the buyer’s sales receipt (“Warranty Period”).

If a charger is found to be defective during the Warranty Period, it will be eligible for replacement at no charge for the product itself, provided the issue is determined to be a manufacturing defect and not due to misuse, improper installation, physical damage, unauthorized modifications, or exposure to unsuitable environmental conditions.

Shipping & Inspection: The customer must ship the charger to Epoch for inspection at their expense and is responsible for all shipping/handling fees both to and from Epoch regardless of outcome.

This warranty is non‑transferable and applies only to the original purchaser.

Epoch Accessories – 1‑Year Limited Warranty

EDG Sales International LLC (the manufacturer, hereinafter referred to as “Epoch Batteries”) warrants that each accessory component—including but not limited to chargers, fuel gauges, voltage reducers, and other accessories—sold by Epoch Batteries or its authorized distributors and dealers will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase, as indicated on the buyer’s sales receipt (“Warranty Period”).

During this Warranty Period, any qualifying accessory found to be defective will be eligible for replacement of the product. All shipping and handling charges to and from Epoch are the customer’s responsibility. Accessories must be returned to Epoch for inspection to validate any claim.
