• The system requires gravity priming for the pump; it is not self-priming.

• Place the chiller within 3 feet of your tub’s drain.

• The chiller must be at the same or lower height than the tub bottom; do not elevate it above the tub.

• Excessive tubing length from tub drain to chiller inlet may reduce pump efficiency.

Ensure optimal performance by gravity priming your setup to the pump, as it cannot self-prime or suction. Position the chiller within 3 feet of your tub’s drain, keeping its base level with or below the tub’s bottom—never above it. Avoid excessively long tubing between the tub drain and chiller inlet to prevent insufficient water flow and pump failure. Residential Drop Ship Information

Dundalk LeisureCraft Responsibilities

1. Building and packing your sauna in a crate
2. Arranging for shipping to your home 

Trucking Company Responsibilities

1. Making an appointment to deliver your sauna
2. Delivering your sauna to the end of your driveway or curbside
   1. The trucking company is NOT responsible for unloading the sauna
   2. The trucking company is NOT going to back their truck into your driveway
   3. Most times the trucking company will deliver with an 18 wheel truck. i. Will this size truck fit on your road or neighborhood?
3. If the sauna crate is less than 92” (7 feet), the trucking company may have a lift gate on the back of the truck which can be used to assist getting the sauna off the truck.
4. If the sauna crate is more than 92”, there will not be a lift gate to unload the sauna crate and the customer needs to decide how they are going to get the crate off the truck.

Customer Responsibilities

1. Returning phone calls to the trucking company in a timely manner, to arrange delivery
2. Determining how the sauna is going to be unloaded from the truck
1. Crates will vary from 6 feet long to 14 feet long
2. The crate’s weight will vary from 800 pounds to 1600 pounds, depending on the size of the sauna
3. Customer is responsible for unloading the sauna crate from the truck
1. Suggested methods for unloading the truck
1. Use a forklift or other mechanical piece of equipment
1. When using a fork lift to pick up the crates, they must be picked up from the end of the crate and fork lift extensions are required.
2. Renting a tilt tow truck to pick up the sauna from the local terminal and have it delivered to your home
3. Have a crew of helpers able to either take the sauna off the truck or unload the crate while on the truck until the crate can be lifted off the truck
4. If the crate arrives damaged, you can accept the shipment, however, please take pictures of the damage, and note the damage on the shipper’s Bill of Lading (BOL). Immediately, contact your dealer or Dundalk, so we can contact the shipper.

What is the lowest temperature the Penguin chiller can reach?

This is one of the most frequently asked questions and doesn’t have a simple answer. The recommended lowest operating temperature for Penguin Chillers is 37°F. While many customers ask if the unit can chill below 37°F, the answer is yes, but continuous operation below this temperature is not advised. In tests with 5 gallons of water, temperatures as low as 36°F were achieved. The exact lowest temperature depends on several factors including your target temperature, the volume and heat load of the liquid being cooled, and the surrounding ambient conditions.

Does the chiller have a built-in tank or reservoir?

No, Penguin Chillers do not include any built-in tanks or reservoirs. The internal piping and heat exchanger contain less than half a gallon of water.

How loud is the chiller during operation?

Penguin Chillers operate quietly at approximately 56 dBA. Customers often report that the unit runs much quieter than they expected.

Does the chiller require ventilation?

Yes, proper ventilation is essential for effective heat transfer. The chiller should not be placed in confined spaces like cabinets or closets. It works by removing heat from the cooled liquid and releasing it into the surrounding air. If this heat cannot disperse, the chiller will not cool efficiently and may overwork. Why does the chiller stop lowering temperature at a certain point?

If your chiller seems stalled at a certain temperature, it’s usually not a malfunction. If the chiller maintains its set temperature and cycles on and off normally, the issue likely lies elsewhere. However, if it runs continuously without reaching the desired temperature, there may be a problem with the chiller or setup.
