Named after the renowned naturalist Henry David Thoreau, the Thoreau Educational Greenhouse Package is purpose-built for schools, correctional institutions, and dedicated gardeners who value both cultivation and therapeutic benefits. Designed to accommodate large groups safely within a climate-controlled, secure environment, this commercial-grade greenhouse delivers durability, functionality, and educational value.

Constructed with a robust 2" x 2" galvanized steel frame featuring pre-welded stanchions and commercial-grade 8mm twin-wall corrugated polycarbonate walls and roofing, the Thoreau greenhouse provides superior insulation and long-lasting performance. The walls stand 6 ft tall with a 9.5 ft center peak, optimized for excellent air circulation. The entire structure is warrantied for 10 years with an expected lifespan of 15–20 years.

Engineered to meet stringent institutional needs, the greenhouse includes features such as motorized shutters, a Quietaire industrial exhaust fan, and a two-stage commercial thermostat for precise climate management. It also incorporates ADA-compliant secure French glass entry doors, commercial workbenches attached to the frame, and an automatic programmable watering system to streamline operations.

Riverstone’s Thoreau line offers comprehensive turnkey solutions with stamped and sealed drawings to meet local ordinance requirements, ensuring compliance and simplifying permitting. Due to the size and commercial nature, professional unloading and assembly are required.
