The Extreme is a highly durable, above-ground storm shelter, constructed from robust ¼-inch steel reinforced with heavy-duty 5.4-pound channel supports for ultimate strength.

Specifically engineered to offer extreme tornado protection, this shelter easily installs on any concrete surface, making it perfect for your yard, garage, or under a carport. Equipped with a secure in-swing door (optional out-swing door available for the 4'x4' model) and an internal removable escape hatch, you’ll never be trapped by debris after a storm.

Delivery Information

- The Shelter is placed at the beginning of your driveway or the end of your road way. It is your job to move the shelter to the desired location or hire someone to do it for you.

Installation

• You can install the shelter yourself, or a local contractor or licensed handyman can assist you.
• If you’d prefer professional help, contact Survive-a-Storm for an installation quote.
• We recommend professional installation by an installer accredited by the National Storm Shelter Association (NSSA) for certification with the NSSA Type 4 Seal.

Warranty Information

• Limited Lifetime Warranty

This product is manufactured and tested to the highest standards by RedGuard Diversified Services, LLC, operating as Survive-a-Storm Shelters (SAS). Our warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship for new products and is non-transferable. The warranty applies only to the original purchaser, and coverage is available only for purchases made through authorized dealers, retailers, resellers, or our website.

We offer a replacement or repair at no charge for parts or, if necessary, a replacement product for defects due to improper workmanship or materials under normal conditions of use and maintenance. If a replacement or repair is not feasible, we may refund the purchase price in exchange for the return of the product.

• The warranty is valid for the product's lifetime, beginning from the date of purchase (as indicated by a sales order or receipt). After the first year of purchase, the warranty will remain in effect if the purchaser submits five color photographs of the shelter’s exterior, door, stairs (if applicable), floor, and sidewalls within 30 days of each purchase anniversary.

Warranty Exclusions
This warranty does not cover:

• Damage caused by factors not related to defects in materials or workmanship.
• Wear and tear, improper installation, misuse, accidents, negligence, or alterations.
• Issues related to products or materials not manufactured by us.

Do you provide installation for Survive-a-Storm shelters?

We don’t offer direct installation services. However, we’re happy to help you connect with qualified contractors through our supplier’s professional installation team.
Please note: Survive-a-Storm’s own installation crew is currently available exclusively in Tornado Alley. For further details and quotes, contact us directly.

How are Survive-a-Storm shelters delivered?

Our shelters are delivered curbside or to the beginning of your driveway. This means you’re responsible for moving the unit to its final installation spot. If you prefer, you can hire an installation team to handle the placement for you.

Can I finance my shelter and pay monthly?

Why is there an additional shipping fee for Survive-a-Storm shelters?

Previously, a flat delivery fee of $1,500 was charged at delivery. This fee has been replaced with a significantly lower, variable shipping fee that depends on your state and location. The exact fee is calculated after purchase, and we will contact you via text, phone, or email to confirm and ensure you agree with the additional shipping charge before proceeding.

Limited Lifetime Warranty

The warranty covers defects in material or workmanship for new products and applies only to the original purchaser. The warranty is non-transferable and is only valid for products purchased from authorized dealers, retailers, or directly from our website.

We guarantee the product against defects in materials or workmanship. If a defect is found under normal use, we will, at our discretion, replace the product or part at no charge, or refund the purchase price upon return of the product. If repairs are not feasible, a refund will be issued.

• Warranty Coverage: This warranty lasts for the lifetime of the product, starting from the documented date of purchase (sales order or receipt).
• Annual Warranty Requirements: To maintain the warranty after the first year, the purchaser must submit five color photographs annually of the shelter's exterior, door, hinges, floor, and sidewalls. Any damage should be carefully photographed for review by the manufacturer.

Exclusions from Warranty Coverage
The warranty does not cover:

• Issues not caused by defects in materials or workmanship.
• Damage from normal wear and tear, improper installation, misuse, accidents, neglect, or modifications.
• Damage caused by third-party accessories or products not manufactured by us.

Warranty coverage requires proof of purchase, such as a receipt or sales order.

Installation Defects: Installation defects are covered only if performed by the manufacturer or a factory-authorized installer. The warranty is void if the product is altered or modified in a way that affects its structural integrity.

Limitation of Liability
The manufacturer is not liable for incidental or consequential damages, including loss of use or any injury resulting from the shelter’s failure.

By purchasing this product, the buyer acknowledges and agrees to the terms of this warranty. Any disputes related to the Limited Lifetime Warranty will be settled in Thomas County, Georgia, USA. This warranty provides specific legal rights, and consumers may have additional rights depending on their state. Some states do not allow exclusions for incidental or consequential damages, so the limitations may not apply in those cases. You may be required by law to give us the opportunity to correct any failure before pursuing legal action under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act.
